Wins Four International Creative Excellence Awards
|
| September 12, 2003
For the second year in a row VIDEOEXPERTS wins multiple International Creative Excellence Awards at the 13th Annual Wedding and Event Videography Association (WEVA International) in Las Vegas, NV. at the world’s largest convention and trade show for professional videographers. With thousands of nationally and internationally acclaimed videographers in the running, VIDEOEXPERTS from Enfield, CT won four prestigious awards.
Now in its second decade, the WEVA International Creative Excellence Awards (CEA) competition continues to grow in participation, significance, and difficulty. Winning entrants came from four different countries, reflecting WEVA International worldwide reach and membership. What makes a winner? The judges make their determination according to the criteria specified in the WEVA International competition rules. Every year since the competition started (in 1991), there have been different judges. All are long-time seasoned professional videographers.
All video productions are judged on creative camera work, interesting use of audio elements, and imaginative post production editing. Some of the creative camera work elements include dramatic shot composition, steadiness and variation of shots, image exposure and color balance. With the many different lighting and shooting situations an event videographer is faced with, maintaining a high level of quality throughout an event production on all these elements is extremely challenging.
The second key factor in an award winning production is the interesting use of audio, which includes event day audio acquisition, voiceover narration, music selection, and sound effects.
Finally, one of the most important aspects in an award winning production is post production editing. Judging is based on imaginative editing skills that use proper timing, pacing and the tasteful use of special effects which keep the viewer engaged and doesn’t take away or overpower the story.

“Wow! What can I say? When we won two awards last year at the WEVA International 2002 CEA competition I was thrilled. Some videographers work their entire career in hopes of winning one of these awards. Accepting four awards at this year’s WEVA International 2003 CEA competition was overwhelming. To be called on stage four times in one night and accept these awards was a true testament of TEAM WORK. I can’t say enough about, Caren, Chandler, Corinne, Jenne, and Michele’s hard work. I’m so proud of this team and I feel very confident to say that we are one of the leading video production studios on an international level. All their hard work and dedication has paid off."
